Greetings to the Blue and White Family of the Great Lakes Region!

On behalf of the Zeta Amicae Auxiliaries of the Great Lakes Region, our inspired and hard working friends of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, I take great pride in welcoming you to our 73rd Great Lakes Regional Leadership Conference.

Congratulations to our esteemed Great Lakes Regional Director, Soror Daisy L. Davis on her first regional conference. I know she has been very busy working meticulously in providing you with a productive and inspirational conference. A special welcome to our International Grand Basileus for her vision to enhance our magnificent national program initiative, “Z-HOPE: Zetas Helping Other People Excel”. I extend a big welcome to all of the conference attendees and special guests and thank you for sharing your time with the Blue and White Family at our leadership conference. I’m sure we all will take home to our chapters and auxiliaries a wealth of knowledge to share with friends and sisters who were not able to attend.

Thank you to the host Zeta Chapter and Amicae Auxiliary of Ohio who has rolled out the blue and white carpet for us with heartfelt love. Their dedication and hospitality in the name of Zeta sisterhood is greatly appreciated.

In accordance with the theme of this year’s Amicae Prayer Luncheon, I sincerely look forward to sharing another fantastic and inspirational conference with my “Friends and Sisters, Heart to Heart!” May God bless you with a safe journey home.

Sorors, Amicae, State Amicae Coordinators and Amicae Advisors/Sponsors, please note the following rule.

The Amicae Auxiliaries cannot use the shield of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the scrapbook and auxiliary report competition (under no circumstances). However, the auxiliary may use or submit a letter from a Zeta Chapter with the shield on it. The entries may contain the dove because it is a global symbol of peace.

Amicae entries that use the Zeta shield and other items will be disqualified. This has been confirmed by Soror Annye P. Roberts, National Amicae Coordinator.

The Amicae logo is the hand clasp with the Z in the middle – not the Zeta shield. Therefore, the Amicae should use their own logo – not Zeta’s shield. There were some concerns at the last regional conference in St. Charles due to this situation (Zeta shield inside the hand clasp). So to make sure that everyone is on the same page, please pass this information to other Amicae Auxiliaries again. If the scrapbooks or auxiliary reports/journals has the Zeta shield, paraphernalia, etc., then the entries will not be allowed in the judging competition.

Amicae Coordinators and Amicae Advisors/Sponsors, please make sure that your Amicae Auxiliaries do not violate this rule. If you need clarification or have any questions, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss with you in details. Thank you.

I ask that all the Amicae Auxiliaries remember the deadline for the entries is April 21st. You may call me for a nomination form or criteria or use the Forms Page or the Contact Page.

April 26-29, 2007. The conference will be hosted by Gamma Zeta Zeta Chapter at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, OH. The room rate is $122+ tax per night. The conference registration fee is Graduate/Amicae $130, Undergraduate $115, Youth $75 (the registration form will be available at a later date). Nonetheless, rooms may be reserved at this time by calling the hotel:
